Due to the perishable nature of live biological stock (queen bees and nucleus colonies) and strict apiary biosecurity standards across Nigeria, all sales are strictly final. No returns, no exchanges, and no cash refunds are accepted once orders are placed, collected, or dispatched.

1. Overview & Core Policy

At Sandalwood Apiaries (https://sandalwoodapiaries.com), we take exceptional care in breeding traceable breeder queen bees, assembling established nucleus colonies (nucs), and manufacturing durable Langstroth beekeeping equipment.

By placing an order on our website, in person, or via direct communication (WhatsApp, Phone, or Email), you acknowledge and agree that all sales are final: no returns, no exchanges, and no refunds.

2. Live Queen Bees & Nucleus Colonies

Mated queen bees, virgin queens, and 5-frame nucleus colonies are living, perishable organisms. Survival and productivity depend entirely on rapid collection, transport ventilation, immediate apiary installation, nectar flow, weather, and proper management practices once they leave our breeding apiary in Ibadan, Oyo State.

  • No Returns or Exchanges: Live bees cannot be returned, exchanged, or restocked under any circumstances.
  • Pickup & Inspection: Customers collecting live colonies in Ibadan are required to inspect the nuc or queen cage at handover. Once accepted and transported from our facility, all risks transfer to the buyer.
  • Transit & Weather Risks: While we package queens and nucs for maximum ventilation and survival, we cannot guarantee hive survival or colony acceptance due to courier delays, heat exposure, mishandling by third-party drivers, or improper apiary introduction techniques.

3. Langstroth Beehives & Apiary Woodenware

To prevent apiary cross-contamination and the spread of devastating honeybee pathogens (including American Foulbrood, European Foulbrood, Chalkbrood, and Small Hive Beetles), we do not accept returns or exchanges on woodenware, hive boxes, bottom boards, inner covers, or frames once they have been received or introduced to an apiary environment.

Please verify hive dimensions and specifications with our team prior to ordering replacement parts for non-standard equipment.

4. Honey Extractors & Processing Equipment

Our honey extractors, settling tanks, uncapping knives, strainers, and bottling equipment are food-grade stainless steel products designed for consumable honey production. For public health, sanitary, and hygiene compliance, food-contact processing equipment cannot be returned or exchanged once dispatched or unpacked.

5. Practical Workshops & Consultation Bookings

Registrations for our practical hands-on beekeeping workshops in Ibadan and private consultation sessions (Zoom, WhatsApp Video, Phone, or In-Person) reserve dedicated specialist time, limited hive access, and workshop materials.

  • Non-Refundable: Workshop registration fees and consultation payments are non-refundable.
  • Rescheduling: If you are unable to attend your scheduled date, please notify us at least 7 days in advance. We will gladly reschedule your booking to the next available workshop cohort or appointment slot.

6. Damaged Equipment Upon Delivery

We inspect all equipment before dispatch. If an equipment parcel (non-living items) arrives visibly damaged by the freight carrier:

  1. Inspect the parcel in the presence of the delivery courier or freight driver.
  2. Take clear photos and video of the damaged packaging and item immediately.
  3. Notify our support team within 24 hours of delivery at sandalwoodapiaries@gmail.com or WhatsApp +234 707 003 8906.

Claims submitted after 24 hours of delivery cannot be processed.
