Triple-Layer Ventilated Bee Suits, Jackets & Leather Gloves

Confidence in the apiary starts with cool, impenetrable sting protection. Working bees in Nigeria’s warm tropical climate makes heavy, non-breathable canvas suits unbearable—which is why Sandalwood Apiaries specializes in lightweight, triple-layer ventilated air-mesh suits and jackets that keep stingers out while letting every breeze through.

Engineered for Tropical Comfort & Total Sting Protection

• 3-Layer Ventilated Full Bee Suits: A 4mm breathable poly-cotton mesh core sandwiched between two fine inner and outer grids keeps bee stingers beyond skin reach while allowing full evaporative cooling.

• Ventilated Pullover & Zippered Bee Jackets: Quick slip-on protection with self-supporting fencing or round hat veils, heavy-duty brass YKK zippers, Velcro storm flaps, and thumb/ankle elastic loops.

• Supple Goatskin & Ventilated Cowhide Gloves: Soft, sting-resistant leather palms paired with ventilated gauntlet cuffs so your hands stay cool and nimble during delicate queen work.

Important: Always wash your bee suit separately in cool water and hang dry in the shade—lingering alarm pheromone (isoamyl acetate) from old stings on unwashed gear will provoke guard bees on your next inspection!

Q: Is a fencing veil or a round veil better for tropical beekeeping?
A: Both offer 100% protection: fencing veils fold flat for easy storage and give close forward visibility for queen spotting, while round hat veils hold the mesh 360 degrees away from your neck and ears and provide built-in sun shade.

Q: Can bees sting through a ventilated mesh suit?
A: No. Our triple-layer mesh creates a physical 4mm standoff gap that is thicker than the full length of a honey bee’s stinger, giving you better sting protection than single-layer cotton at half the heat.
